Blue Nile Q3 Income Climbs 20%

(RTTNews) - Blue Nile (NILE) released earnings for its third quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $1.98 million, or $0.17 per share. This was higher than $1.65 million, or $0.14 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.0% to $109.94 million. This was up from $105.76 million last year.
