Blue Nile Profit Falls 35% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Blue Nile (NILE) revealed earnings for third quarter that declined from last year.

The company said its earnings came in at $1.29 million, or $0.11 per share. This was down from $1.98 million, or $0.17 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.12 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.4% to $105.11 million. This was down from $109.94 million last year.
