BlackRock Muni Intermediate Duration Fund Announces Redemption of Auction Rate Preferred Shares
BlackRock Advisors, LLC today announced that BlackRock Muni Intermediate Duration Fund, Inc. (NYSE: MUI, the "Fund”) intends to redeem all of its outstanding auction rate preferred shares ("ARPS”), at the liquidation preference of $25,000 per share, together with accrued and unpaid dividends to the redemption date, if applicable. This redemption, which totals $287,175,000 in ARPS, will be funded by proceeds received from the issuance of Variable Rate Demand Preferred Shares, as announced earlier today.
