Blackbaud Offers Multiple Sessions, Social Panel Discussion, Social Media Workshop, and Live Streaming Sessions at NTEN’s 2011 Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC)
Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB) is proud to announce an expanded partnership with Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), including a Diamond Sponsorship of the 2011 Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC) from March 17 – 19, 2011 in Washington, DC. Blackbaud has partnered with NTEN this year to assist at the conference in an expanded role including co-sponsoring the Third Annual Social Network Benchmark Survey, leading multiple sessions, launching a new social media learning series, and live streaming of selected sessions for virtual attendees.
"We’re gratified by Blackbaud’s expanded role at this year’s NTC and its continued support of NTEN’s mission,” said Holly Ross, executive director of NTEN. "We believe everyone benefits when the leading technology provider serving the nonprofit community shares its expertise and research on how nonprofits can better leverage social media, Internet, and CRM technologies to accomplish their fundraising and marketing goals more effectively.”
During the three-day conference, Blackbaud will demonstrate its technology solutions at the Science Fair in the NTC Exhibit Hall. The Blackbaud solutions to be shown include Blackbaud Social, Blackbaud CRM (Constituent Relationship Management), Friends Asking Friends, and The Raiser’s Edge (i).
The 2011 NTC is also the site for the first of four workshops in Blackbaud’s new Social Media Learning Series. This four-part, invitation-only event series aims to teach NTEN members advanced tactics and strategies for how to use social media to support their marketing, fundraising and program delivery efforts. The first workshop will kick off at the conference on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Blackbaud’s Internet marketing manager, Chad Norman, will lead the session, with support from leading experts including Danielle Brigida, digital marketing manager at National Wildlife Federation. The three other sessions will be announced throughout the year in major cities co-hosted by Blackbaud and NTEN.
"We’re particularly pleased to kick off our Social Media Learning Series by offering the first workshop at the 2011 NTC. The use of social media is transforming the way nonprofits interact with their constituents, and we’ve worked hard with our content partner Common Knowledge [a nonprofit consultancy in online communication strategy] and NTEN to create unique workshops that will help NTEN members and other leading organizations in the area to develop advanced skills in the use of social media,” said Mark Davis, Blackbaud’s director of enterprise Internet solutions.
As an additional benefit to NTEN members, Blackbaud will stream key 2011 NTC conference sessions live and on-demand from its website: www.blackbaud.tv. Blackbaud also invites NTC attendees to stop by its booth to be interviewed for Blackbaud TV.
