Birmingham Toyota Dealership celebrates academic achievement in local giveaway sweepstakes

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 3, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- For the fifth year in a row, Serra Toyota, located in Birmingham, will be giving away a new vehicle to a local high school senior who has gotten a perfect attendance score for the 2016 to 2017 academic year. For this year's giveaway, Serra Toyota will be giving away a new 2017 Toyota Corolla. Students from Center Point High School, Huffman High School, Hewitt-Trussville High School, Clay-Chalkville High School, Pinson Valley High School and Woodlawn High School will be eligible to win. The giveaway is based on attendance and academic achievement.

This promotion is dedicated to the memory of Christina Heichelbech. Christina was a high school junior who had been accepted to Auburn University, when she was killed by the devastating tornadoes that ravaged Jefferson County in January of 2012. Through this annual giveaway, Serra Toyota seeks to preserve the energy with which Christina lived her life by recognizing a high school senior who shares her passion for academics.

Christina's family works with Serra Toyota to encourage students to achieve their highest potential. Her parents will be attending the giveaway banquet at Serra Toyota on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017between 5:30pm and 8:30pm to present the keys to this year's winner in Christina's memory. During this event, one student will be selected to take home the new 2017 Toyota Corolla. Once the finalists are chosen based on academic merit and attendance, each finalist will choose one of several keys at random. The winner's key will be able to start the vehicle.
