Belden Inc. Q2 Income Climbs 25%

(RTTNews) - Belden Inc. (BDC) released earnings for its second quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $65.50 million, or $1.54 per share. This was up from $52.22 million, or $1.21 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.26 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.7% to $601.63 million. This was up from $585.76 million last year.
