Barrick Appointments Rich Haddock to VP Environment

    TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 2005--Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX)(TSX:ABX)(LSE:ABX)(SWX:ABX)(BOURSE:ABX) today announced the appointment of Rich Haddock as Vice President, Environment, replacing John McDonough who recently became Vice President, Chile/Argentina. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Haddock held the position of regional Counsel, North America and Senior Counsel, U.S. Operations.
