Barnes Group Inc. Names Jerry W. Burris President, Associated Spring

Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE: B) today announced that JerryW. Burris has been appointed President, Associated Spring, a businessunit of Barnes Group Inc., effective July 1, 2006. Mr. Burris succeedsGregory F. Milzcik, who was named Executive Vice President and ChiefOperating Officer of the Company in February.

Carpenter, Presidentand Chief Executive Officer, Barnes Group Inc. "His results-drivenmanagement skills, strategic vision and leadership abilities make himideally suited to lead the Associated Spring team."

Mr. Burris comes to Barnes Group with more than 20 years ofexperience in key management and executive positions with GeneralElectric Company (GE). Most recently, he was President and ChiefExecutive Officer, GE Advanced Materials, Quartz and Ceramics inCleveland, Ohio. Prior to this, Mr. Burris was General Manager for theGlobal Health Services business of GE Medical Systems. Since joiningGE in 1986, he has held a series of management positions withincreasing responsibility in sales, marketing and product management.
