Barnes & Noble to Open New Store at 14572 Southwest Fifth Street Pembroke Pines, Florida

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on June 18 in The Shops at Pembroke Gardens at 14572 Southwest Fifth Street, Pembroke Pines, Florida. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a café serving Starbucks coffee. The new Pembroke Gardens Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day and employ approximately 70 people from the community. The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Pembroke Gardens Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, June 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the City of Pembroke Pines Charter Schools. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. In celebration of having one of the largest Libros en Español sections in the country, the Latin-themed evening will include a sampling of Latin food, Latin jazz music, and cigar rolling demonstrations. Cookbook author Raquel Roque will be on hand to discuss and sign copies of her book, Cocina Cubana.
