Barclays To Announce 2013 Adj. Pre-tax Profit Of GBP 5.2 Bln - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - British lender Barclays Plc. (BARC.L, BCS) said Monday that it will announce adjusted profit before tax for 2013 of 5.2 billion pounds and statutory profit before tax of 2.9 billion pounds.

The company stated that it will publish its full year results on 11 February 2014 at 7am.

Earlier, there were reports that Barclays was investigating a possible theft of data from about 27,000 customers. The bank was talking to regulators and customers about a possible leak of information related to client accounts.

The investigation suggested that data from 2008 or earlier may have been leaked. It was linked to a financial-planning unit which closed down in 2011.

According to the Mail on Sunday, a whistle-blower gave it a memory stick containing files on 2,000 customers, stating that each of the 27,000 files could be sold for around 50 pounds.
