Barclays Appoints Jonathan Moulds As Group COO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - British lender Barclays plc (BARC.L, BCS) has named Jonathan Moulds to the newly created role of Group Chief Operating Officer. He would join the company's Executive Committee and report directly to the Group Chief Executive, Antony Jenkins. He would take up this role on February 2, 2015.

In this position, Moulds would head major change programmes across Barclays and is charged with accelerating delivery of the Group's strategic plan, Transform. He would be responsible for the Structural Reform Programme, including the implementation of the Ring-Fenced Bank in the UK and the Intermediate Holding Company in the U.S., and would oversee the Strategy and Corporate Development Team. Also, he would establish and chair a Group Operating Committee which would ensure that the firm is executing Barclays' strategy in an aligned and efficient way.
