Bank of America Merrill Lynch Canada Hires New Head of Canadian Structured Solutions Group
Paul Hansen has joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch Canada as head of the country’s Structured Solutions Group.
Paul has been brought on to oversee the array of retail structured products at BAML Canada.
"Paul is joining us at a time when market volatility is causing investors to reevaluate their risk tolerance,” said Lynn Patterson, president and country head of BAML Canada. "He will be in charge of developing innovative tools to help Canadian clients achieve their investment goals.” Paul reports jointly to Lynn Patterson and Liam O’Neil, who heads the Structured Solutions Group in the Americas out of New York.
Before joining BAML, Paul was at CIBC from 2000 to 2009. During that time he held senior positions in Structured Products Structuring and Distribution.
Prior to that, Paul earned his CA designation while at Arthur Andersen LLP, where he was a risk management consultant for derivatives groups at financial institutions.
