Ball Corporation Q4 Earnings Drop 4%

(RTTNews) - Ball Corporation (BLL) released a profit for fourth quarter that lost ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit declined to $113.0 million, or $0.80 per share. This was lower than $118.0 million, or $0.84 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.75 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 11.3% to $1.80 billion. This was down from $2.03 billion last year.
