Axiall Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Chemicals and building products company Axiall Corp. (AXLL) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $57 million or $0.81 per share compared with $32 million or $0.92 per share a year ago.

Earnings per share results for the recent quarter included a higher share count.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings were $62 million or $0.88 per share compared with $44 million or $1.26 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.67 per share.

Sales for the quarter were $1.13 billion compared to $784.7 million last year. Analysts expected sales of $1.1 billion.
