Aviron Pictures Acquires Distribution Rights To "Destination Wedding" Starring Keanu Reeves And Winona Ryder
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Nov. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviron Pictures has acquired distribution rights in North America and all other English-speaking territories – including the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa – to Victor Levin's romantic comedy Destination Wedding starring Keanu Reeves (John Wick: Chapter 2, Something's Gotta Give) and Winona Ryder ("Stranger Things", The Dilemma).
Destination Wedding tells the story of two miserable and unpleasant wedding guests, Frank (Reeves) and Lindsay (Ryder), who develop a mutual affection despite themselves. The film reunites fan favorites Reeves and Ryder, who were last seen together in Richard Linklater'sA Scanner Darkly (2006) and Francis Ford Coppola'sBram Stoker's Dracula (1992).
Based on an original script from Levin (5 to 7, "Mad About You"), the film is produced by Sunshine Pictures' Gail Lyon and Two Camel Films' Elizabeth Dell. Robert Jones is also producing for The Fyzz Facility, which fully financed the film. Jean Wyman, Cassian Elwes of Elevated, and Wayne Marc Godfrey, James Harris and Mark Lane of The Fyzz Facility serve as Executive Producers. Aviron Pictures' head of acquisitions Jason Resnick negotiated the deal with Cassian Elwes and Wayne Marc Godfrey. Endeavor Content handled the U.S. rights, and BLOOM handled international sales.

Aviron Pictures recently released the Halle Berry thriller Kidnap, which grossed over $30MM at the domestic box office. The company will next release the horror film The Strangers: Prey at Night on March 9, 2018, starring Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison and Lewis Pullman and the action thriller Three Seconds on August 17, 2018, starring Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike and Clive Owen. BLOOM is handling international sales on both titles which were financed and produced by The Fyzz Facility.
The Fyzz Facility's recent in-house productions include: the US box office smash hit 47 Meters Down starring Mandy Moore and directed by Johannes Roberts, for which Aviron Pictures handled domestic theatrical marketing for Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures and Jackie Chan'sThe Foreigner, which has notched up over $120MM box office worldwide. Upcoming projects financed and produced by The Fyzz Facility include: the thriller Three Seconds; The Strangers: Prey at Night; Final Score starring Dave Bautista and Pierce Brosnan; and Possum,Matthew Holness' darkly twisted feature film debut.
