Aviat Networks Reports Narrower Q1 Net Loss

(RTTNews) - Aviat Networks, Inc. (AVNW) reported narrower net loss in the first quarter of $5.7 million, or $0.09 per share, compared with a net loss of $13.6 million, or $0.22 per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Non-GAAP loss from continuing operations for the quarter was $3.9 million, or $0.06 per share, compared with $7.8 million, or $0.13 loss per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue in the first quarter fell to $82.4 million from $93.4 million in the comparable quarter last year.

Analysts expected the company to report net loss of $0.08 per share on revenues of $86.91 million for the period. Analysts' estimates usually exclude one-time items.

Looking ahead, the company expects to report second quarter revenue in the range of $85 million to $90 million. Analysts have a consensus revenue estimate of $90.17 million for the period.
