AuthentiDate Holding Corp. Announces New Contract to Implement TracMed

    SCHENECTADY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2005--AuthentiDate Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:ADAT) announced that its healthcare solutions division, Trac Medical Solutions (TracMed), has entered into a master service agreement with Lincare Holdings Inc., a leading provider of oxygen and other respiratory therapy services delivered to patients in the home. Under this agreement, Lincare will implement TracMed's CareCertES(TM), a Web-based solution that automates and speeds the process of securing and authenticating electronic healthcare forms. With more than 700 locations in the United States, Lincare is the second largest provider of home medical equipment.
    The top five home medical equipment suppliers, including Lincare, have chosen TracMed as their provider of choice for electronic healthcare forms. While financial terms weren't disclosed, TracMed will generate revenue through monthly license and transaction fees, which will largely be impacted by physician adoption.
    A fully HIPAA compliant electronic solution, CareCert is the home medical equipment industry standard for processing electronic Certificates of Medical Necessity (eCMNs) and Written Orders. Electronic files created through CareCert are sealed with the United States Electronic Postmark(R) (USPS EPM(R)), which brings legal trust and security to each transaction. CareCert offers healthcare providers a secure, speedy and efficient solution to process forms online.
