aufeminin Announces the Appointment of Marc Flamme as General Manager for Germany - He Will Steer gofeminin and Onmeda’s International Strategy

Groupe aufeminin (Paris:FEM), 1st creator of communities, announces the appointment of Marc Flamme, 48 years old, as General Manager for Germany. He will steer gofeminin and Onmeda’s International strategy.

Marc Flamme joins the aufeminin group as General Manager for Germany. "We are delighted to welcome Marc Flamme as General Manager of gofeminin. A member of the Axel Springer teams since 2000, Marc’s substantial knowledge of the aufeminin group and digital technology will enable him to give gofeminin the necessary impetus to strengthen its leadership position in women’s websites in Germany”, said Marie-Laure Sauty Chalon, CEO of the aufeminin group, following this appointment.

Marc Flamme will be responsible for steering the development strategy of gofeminin, a top women’s digital publisher in Germany with 5.6 million unique visitors a month1, and the international deployment of Onmeda, the leading health portal in Germany with 5 million unique visitors a month1, and which is also present in France and Spain.

Since 2014, Marc Flamme was in charge of equity portfolio at Axel Springer’s Marketing & Classified Department, the aufeminin group’s majority shareholder. He was also a member of aufeminin group’s Board of Directors from 2014 to 2016. He was Head of New International Media from 2011 to 2014. Between 2000 and 2004, Marc Flamme stood out through his expertise as Director of Sales in crossmedia advertising sales at Bild, Germany’s most popular daily paper.

He replaces Marc Schmitz, International Managing Director and Managing Director of gofeminin, who has decided to pursue new professional opportunities in Germany.
