AU Optronics Turns To Profit In Q1

(RTTNews) - AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) reported that its net profit attributable to owners of the Company for the first quarter of 2017 was NT$9.48 billion and NT$0.98 per basic share, compared to a loss of NT$5.48 billion and NT$0.57 per basic share in the prior year.

Consolidated revenues for the first quarter of 2017 were NT$88.56 billion, up NT$71.14 billion in the prior year.

In the first quarter of 2017, large-sized panel shipments totaled 27.23 million units, down by 3.8% quarter-over-quarter. Shipments of small-and-medium-sized panels in the same quarter were around 36.43 million units, up by 1.9% quarter-over-quarter.
