AU Optronics Sept. Revenues Rise 2.6% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) announced a 2.6% growth in September 2013 preliminary consolidated revenue to NT$36.9 billion, from NT$35.96 billion a year before.

For the recent month, shipments of large-sized panels used in LCD TV, desktop monitor, notebook PC, and other applications, exceeded 10.05 million units, down 4.0% from last month. As for small-and-medium-sized panels, the shipments totaled nearly 14.93 million units, a 5.1% decrease sequentially.

In the third quarter of 2013, AUO's unaudited consolidated revenues were up 4.2% year-over-year to NT$107.08 billion. Third-quarter large-sized panel shipments were about 29.33 million units, down 11.7% year-on-year.
