AU Optronics Reports Q3 Profit - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AU Optronics Corp. (AUO), Wednesday said it reversed to profit for the third-quarter with increase in revenues, reflecting lower cost of goods sold.

Net profit attributable to owners of company was NT$2.4 billion, versus net loss of NT$16.3 billion last year. On a per share basis, earnings for the three-month period was NT$0.27 per basic share, compared with loss of NT$1.86 per share a year ago.

Net sales were NT$107.08 billion, a 4.2 percent increase from prior year's NT$102.78 billion a year earlier. Cost of goods sold were NT$96.8 billion, compared with NT$106.05 billion last year. Net non-operating expenses also reduced to NT$623 million, compared with NT$7.05 billion last year.
