AU Optronics Aug. Revenues Climb 5.8% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) reported preliminary consolidated August 2013 revenue of NT$37.155 billion, up 5.8% from the prior year's NT$35.1 billion.

For August 2013, shipments of large-sized panels used in LCD TV, desktop monitor, notebook PC, and other applications exceeded 10.47 million units, a 18.9% increase from the earlier month. Small-and-medium-sized panel shipments totaled some 15.73 million units, up 17.2% month-over-month.

Large size refers to panels that are 10 inches and above in diagonal measurement while small and medium size refers to those below 10 inches, the company said.
