Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Q2 Adj. Profit Tops View

(RTTNews) - Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW) Thursday reported second-quarter net income attributable to common stockholders of $28.4 million or $1.13 per share, compared to $29.6 million, or $1.17 per share in the prior year.

Adjusted net income attributable to common stockholders was $29.4 million, or $1.17 per share, up from $15.9 million or $0.63 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.09 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenue for the quarter increased to $455.83 million from $441.17 million last year, while seven analysts were looking for revenues of $439.48 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead the company continues to anticipate significant growth in adjusted earnings per share in 2015.
