Assured Guaranty Ltd. Board of Directors Appoints Two New Members, Robin Monro-Davies and Michael T. O'Kane

Dominic Frederico, President and Chief Executive Officer ofAssured Guaranty Ltd. commented, "We are pleased to announce theaddition of Robin and Michael to our Board. Mr. Monro-Davies is currently a board member of AXA UK and AXAAsia Pacific Holdings, a director of HSBC Bank plc, Chairman ofMergerMarket and is a member of the Board of Directors of AssuredGuaranty (UK) Ltd. From 1997 until his retirement in 2001, he wasChief Executive Officer of Fitch Ratings, the world's third largestrating agency.

Until his retirement, Mr. O'Kane was employed at TIAA-CREF in anumber of different capacities since 1986. He was most recently SeniorManaging Director, Securities Division, responsible for a significantportion of TIAA-CREF's $300 billion in assets under management.
