Aspen Technology Promotes Corporate Controller Karl Johnsen To CFO

(RTTNews) - Aspen Technology, Inc. (AZPN) said Monday that it has promoted Vice President and Corporate Controller Karl Johnsen to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective October 1.

Johnsen will succeed Mark Sullivan, who previously announced he will retire from Aspen Technology at the end of September.

Johnsen has more than 20 years of financial, accounting and consulting experience within the technology industry. He joined Aspen Technology in 2013 as Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Aspen Technology, he served in senior finance positions at a number of public and private technology companies, including Avid Technology, FusionStorm, Glasshouse Technologies, Art Technology Group and NaviSite. Earlier in his career, Johnsen served as a transaction support consultant at PwC and a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen.
