Ascom North America Secures New Milestone Win with Acute Care Hospital System
The North American region of Ascom, the leading global healthcare Information and Communication Technology (ICT) provider, has again secured a single order worth more than one million dollars for a comprehensive, end-to-end solution at an acute-care medical system. Working with a partner for more than a year, the win displaces the incumbent competitor and is the culmination of sound healthcare strategy, utilization of key customer references, strong relationship building and solution selling.
The installation is a combination of Ascom Telligence nurse call, mobility and Unite software, and includes a mix of Ascom Myco™ smart devices and i62 mobility handsets. The first purpose-built smart device for healthcare, the Ascom Myco delivers exactly the right information to the right clinician, strengthening the circle of care and trust and improving patient outcomes.
Designed to maximize workflow efficiencies and ensure that mission-critical alerts are prioritized and patient data is kept secure, the solution adds almost 250 nurse workflow stations as well as EHR integration and interoperability with NCS and Philips. Because the client operates multiples sites, there is also tremendous potential upsell and growth opportunities for Ascom.
"This latest milestone win in North America is particularly gratifying because it’s a comprehensive Ascom solution,” says Tim Whelehan, President, Ascom North America. "As our sales momentum continues to build, we are leveraging relationships with our growing network of partners and value-added resellers across the region to quickly scale and grow clinicians’ preference for Ascom technology. Hospital systems like the ability to purchase from one company, and Ascom is the only manufacturer to offer complete nurse call, messaging software and wireless communication solutions.”
