Ariba Teams with IAPP to Help Finance Professionals Prepare for New Normal
The global recession has created a new state of normal in which finance professionals will need to think differently about how they organize, capitalize and manage cash. To help them do this, Ariba, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARBA), the leading spend management solutions provider, today announced that it is teaming with International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP), the guidance-setting association for the accounts payable profession, to deliver innovative programs for enhancing payables performance. As a Gold Partner, Ariba will provide IAPP members with access to leading-edge information, best practice processes and solutions they can leverage to implement a highly integrated cash management strategy while improving the efficiency of the entire procure-to-pay cycle.
"In today’s economy, agility is the new strategic capability,” said Joe Fox, Senior Director, Network and Financial Solutions, Ariba. "In order to position their organizations to successfully compete when things improve, finance leaders must be able to anticipate changing market conditions and quickly adapt their strategies to deal with the new realities of heightened risk, increasingly complex regulatory requirements, tight credit markets and fewer resources. In joining forces with IAPP, we can provide them with practical, actionable information they can use to do just this.”
As a result of the partnership, IAPP members will receive access to Ariba’s monthly Financial Solutions Webinar Series (www.ariba.com/programs/invoicenow) and continuing education credits for each session they attend. Designed to provide cutting-edge insights and innovative strategies for managing critical issues across the procure-to-pay cycle, the series features finance executives and industry professionals sharing their experiences and tactics.
Ariba will also deliver educational sessions at IAPP’s annual conference and regional events, and work with IAPP to conduct additional web seminars that address specific member needs.
"Ariba’s expertise figures prominently into our plans for ramping up our educational offerings,” says Tom Bohn, CEO and executive director of IAPP and its sister organization, International Accounts Receivable Professionals. "Its wide array of expertise will help our members keep up with technology in ways that can help them the most.”
