Argon ST, Inc. Contributes $52,000 to AmeriCares for Tsunami Relief

    FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 2005--Argon ST, Inc. (NASDAQ:STST), today announced that they are supporting AmeriCares in an effort to provide relief and aid for victims of the earthquake and tsunami in South Asia. Argon ST pledged to match employees' donations dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000. Argon ST's 600-plus employees not only responded to the challenge to donate $20,000, they far exceeded that goal by donating more than $32,000. With Argon ST's corporate match of $20,000, the company is pleased to make a total contribution of more than $52,000 to AmeriCares.
    Debbie Jaudon, Argon ST's Director of Human Resources, stated, "We are so glad to be able to make this contribution to AmeriCares. We challenged our employees to donate $20,000, and they amazed us by exceeding that goal significantly. Our thoughts and best wishes are with all the victims of the tsunami."
    Since their inception in 1997, Argon has donated 1% of all pre-tax profits to local charities. A group of employee volunteers serve on a Charity Committee to determine how the funds will be distributed. Argon ST donated more than $75,000 to charitable organizations in 2004, and Argon ST employees donated approximately $9,000 through a payroll deduction program.
