American Software Q4 Profit Declines

(RTTNews) - American Software Inc (AMSWA) posted fourth-quarter net earnings of $2.6 million or $0.09 per share, compared to $3.1 million or $0.11 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted net earnings for the latest fourth quarter, which excludes stock-based compensation expense and amortization of acquisition-related intangibles, were $2.9 million or $0.10 per share, compared to $3.4 million or $0.12 per share for the same period last year, which also excluded stock-based compensation expense and amortization of acquisition-related intangibles.

On average, two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.10 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues totaled $25.9 million, up 3% from $25.2 million last year.
