American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis Selects Blackbaud NetCommun
American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis Selects Blackbaud NetCommunity as Part of Broad Chapter Solution Integrated Offering from Blackbaud Includes Fundraising, Financial Management, Business Intelligence, and Program and Services Management
Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB), the leading provider of software and related services designed specifically for nonprofit organizations, announced today that the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis has selected the latest version of Blackbaud NetCommunity as a part of its chapter-wide technology solution.
"The American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis has been a leader among Red Cross chapters in using technological innovations to better meet our constituent's needs. We offer 15 training courses online, with enrollees from around the world. We were one of the first Red Cross chapters to help disaster victims rebuild their lives more quickly by issuing client assistance cards (stored-value cards that clients can use at any retailer that accepts MasterCard(R)). So naturally we welcome the opportunity to partner with Blackbaud on new initiatives to individualize and improve the effectiveness of our constituent interactions," said John B. Lyter, chief executive officer.
"The power of Blackbaud NetCommunity is that it will enable us to further engage our volunteers, clients, financial contributors, course participants and community partners online in the lifesaving work of the Red Cross, ultimately enriching and strengthening these crucial collaborations," said Lyter.
The American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis will rely on Blackbaud's online community solution to quickly build and manage Web site content, communicate efficiently with different types of constituents, and track and report on all Web-based interactions. Because the solution was developed to work seamlessly with The Raiser's Edge, which the organization has used since 1997, the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis will be able to mine the robust store of donor, volunteer and prospect information it has captured over the years to provide dynamic, individualized Web content.
An integrated chapter solution
The decision to use Blackbaud NetCommunity is the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis' latest move in adopting an integrated technology solution to manage six key areas:
Additionally, the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis will rely on The Information Edge, the first Business Intelligence tool designed specifically for nonprofit organizations, to combine high volumes of information collected throughout the organization and generate in depth reports and analysis that drives future success. Staff will turn to The Information Edge to get a complete view of each individual, incorporating both online and offline activity. With this information staff can fully see how each person interacts with the organization, better understanding who is assisting with each volunteer-driven effort and participating in fundraising campaigns.
"As a leader in providing direct relief services and training to the community, the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis must ensure that staff always have quick access to critical information about donors, volunteers and other stakeholders," said Robert J. Sywolski, chief executive officer of Blackbaud, Inc. "We are proud to collaborate on the implementation of a chapter-wide Blackbaud technology solution that will help them both streamline operations and target prospects for future growth."
