Alfa Laval Wins Offshore Oil and Gas Order Worth SEK 110 Million

Alfa Laval (STO:ALFA) – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order from the Korean company Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) for a freshwater generator module to an offshore oil platform in the North Sea. The order, booked in the Energy & Environment segment early January, has a value of approximately SEK 110 million. Delivery is scheduled for 2014.

The Alfa Laval equipment will be installed onboard the platform where it will convert seawater into both potable and process water.
