Akamai Technologies Inc Q2 Profit Climbs 10%

(RTTNews) - Akamai Technologies Inc (AKAM) released earnings for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $112.07 million, or $0.64 per share. This was higher than $102.17 million, or $0.57 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.64 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.8% to $572.14 million. This was up from $540.72 million last year.
