Akamai Results Top Estimate; But Stock Down 5% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Akamai Technologies Inc (AKAM) Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $91.2 million or $0.50 per share compared with $79.8 million or $0.44 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.62 per share compared with $0.50 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were up 26% at $498 million compared with $395.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.57 per share on revenues of $491 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
