Agrium Sees Q3 EPS From Cont. Opns. In US$0.45-US$0.55 Range

(RTTNews) - Canadian fertilizer producer Agrium Inc. (AGU.TO, AGU) said Wednesday that it expects third quarter earnings from continuing operations to be in the range of US$0.45 to US$0.55 per share.

The company also said it expects fourth quarter earnings from continuing operations to be similar to net earnings in the fourth quarter 2013.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently expect the company to report earnings US$0.68 per share for the third quarter and US$1.01 per share for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Agrium said it will provide additional guidance for fourth quarter earnings at the time of its third quarter results to be issued November 4.
