Agilent Technologies Q4 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) Monday reported fourth-quarter net income of $140 million or $0.42 per share, up from $23 million or $0.07 per share last year.

Excluding one-time items, Agilent reported fourth-quarter adjusted income from continuing operations of $168 million $0.50 per share.

Revenues for the quarter dropped 1 percent to $1.035 billion from $1.043 billion last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.47 per share on revenues of $1.04 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Looking forward, Agilent expects first-quarter revenues of $1.0 billion to $1.02 billion and adjusted earnings of $0.42 to $0.44 per share.

Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.47 per share on revenues of $1.05 billion.

For fiscal year 2016, Agilent expects revenue of $4.15 billion to $4.17 billion and adjusted earnings of $1.85 to $1.91 per share.

Analysts currently estimate earnings of $1.97 per share on revenues of $4.21 billion for the year.
