ADVISORY/Prudential Financial's Social Investment Program Celebrates
Business Editors
ADVISORY...For Monday, Jan. 31
--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
WHAT: Prudential Financial's Social Investment Program has reached a historic milestone -- one billion dollars invested in successful collaborations. Through these partnerships, the Program has financed community development and education initiatives, including inner-city supermarkets, minority businesses, affordable housing and charter schools.
The Social Investment Program makes socially responsible investments in the areas of affordable housing, economic development, minority entrepreneurship, community services and education. The Program originates investments for The Prudential Insurance Company of America and The Prudential Foundation. With a willingness to take informed risks, Prudential considers proposals that do not qualify under mainstream investment guidelines. The Program targets investments that provide the greatest social impact for individuals and communities in those locations where Prudential has its most significant business presence.
