WHAT:

-- A 10 ft. tall replica of the new bag of DAVID Sunflower Seeds, featuring an image of Derek Jeter, will be unveiled during a ceremony to recognize Jeter's generous work for communities and children.

-- Jeter will receive the first-ever DAVID Good Seed Award for establishing his Turn 2 Foundation, which creates and supports signature programs and activities that motivate young people to turn away from drugs and alcohol and "turn 2" healthy lifestyles. This award goes to an individual who dedicates his/her time to helping others achieve a healthy, wholesome and responsible lifestyle.

-- For every homerun hit during the 2005 season, DAVID will donate a case of sunflower seeds(a) to Kids Cafe(R) - a program run by America's Second Harvest - The Nation's Food Bank Network across the country. In addition, for every homerun hit by Jeter - DAVID will donate 100 cases of sunflower seeds to Kids Cafe and to Turn 2 Foundation signature programs in New York City, West Michigan and Tampa, Florida.
