ADTRAN Q4 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - ADTRAN Inc. (ADTN) reported that net loss for the fourth quarter 2018 was $8.4 million compared to a net loss of $11.1 million for the fourth quarter of 2017. Loss was $0.18 compared to a loss of $0.23 for the fourth quarter of 2017.

Non-GAAP loss per share were $0.12 compared to earnings of $0.05 for the fourth quarter of 2017. Net loss and GAAP and non-GAAP earnings per share for the fourth quarter 2018 reflect the effect of a loss in other income of $6.8 million, which resulted primarily from the impact of unrealized losses in equity investment portfolio arising from U.S. equity market volatility during the quarter.
