ADTRAN Captures Top Spot in License-Free Microwave Market; TRACER Success Attributed to Penetration of the Wireless Carrier Market

According to the"2005 Microwave Radio Point-to-Point Market Share Report, Q4 2005"ADTRAN now holds at least 28% of the worldwide market for unlicensed 5GHz and under, up from only 17% one year ago. The company attributesthe rapid growth to its successful penetration of the wireless carriermarket. Today, ADTRAN's TRACER(R) products are deployed by all of theTier 1, and many Tier 2 and Tier 3 wireless service providers in theU.S., as well as several global service providers.

TheMX410 and 412 address wireless carriers' need for efficient bandwidthutilization. They deliver full DS0 control to service locations,allowing complete utilization of DS1 bandwidth. The MX3208 and 3216allow carriers to drop/insert a high number of DS1s without the needfor back-to-back M13 multiplexers.
