ADTRAN Announces Three New Vice Presidents; Steven Cost appointed VP C

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2005--ADTRAN(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of network access equipment, today announced the appointment of three new vice presidents: Steven Cost VP Controller, Randy Crim VP Sourcing, and Jay Wilson VP Product Marketing for the Carrier Networks Division.

Steven Cost, as Vice President Controller, will oversee the company's major accounting functions and compliance with government regulations for financial reporting. He has more than 15 years of experience in accounting and financial administration. Since joining ADTRAN in 2001, he has served as corporate controller, responsible for the company's major accounting functions, including oversight of company filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining ADTRAN, Cost served as divisional controller for Benchmark Electronics Huntsville Systems Integration Division and Controller of U.S. Operations for Avex Electronics. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. Cost is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Randy Crim, as Vice President Sourcing, will be responsible for corporate purchasing, raw material inventory planning, and outsource contracting. He has more than 25 years experience in purchasing and supply chain management. Prior to joining ADTRAN in 2001, Crim worked more than 20 years for International Rectifier Corporation, a large independent semiconductor company and a world leader in power management technology. While with International Rectifier, he held a number of management positions where he gained significant experience in manufacturing and purchasing in China and Mexico. His responsibilities included purchasing and supply chain management for the company's assembly division. Crim has a bachelor's degree in Management from Pepperdine University.
Jay Wilson, as Vice President Product Marketing for the Carrier Networks Division, will lead product management, marketing, bids and proposals, technical support, and training. He has more than 13 years experience in product development, marketing, and sales. Since joining ADTRAN in 1998, he has served in a number of roles including product support engineer, product manager, and director of product management. During his tenure, he has played a key role in the introduction of ADTRAN's sixth generation of HDSL, as well as HDSL2, SHDSL, and HDSL4 product lines. Additionally, he led the product management team during the development of the DSLAM and optical product lines. Prior to joining ADTRAN in 1998, Wilson served in various management positions for Wyle Laboratories, a leading independent testing and engineering service facility. Wilson holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
