ADT To Buy Reliance Protectron For $500 Mln - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - ADT Corp. (ADT) Wednesday said it will buy Reliance Protectron Inc., a unit of Reliance Comfort Limited Partnership, for C$555 million or nearly $500 million in cash, for strengthening its Canadian operations. Protectron is a provider of monitored security services in Canada. Through this transaction, which is expected to close this summer, ADT will get 400,000 residential and commercial customers including 31,000 contract monitoring accounts, and C$12 million or about $11 million in associated recurring monthly revenue. Citigroup and Imperial Capital acted as financial advisors to ADT on the transaction
