ADT Profit In Line With Estimates, Revenue Beats

(RTTNews) - ADT Corp (ADT), a provider of security and automation solutions, on Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $75 million or $0.44 per share compared with $82 million or $0.47 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.49 per share compared with $0.55 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were higher at $898 million compared with $849 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.49 per share on revenues of $895.3 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
