ACS Renews Contract With City of Detroit for Parking Ticket Processing and Collections
DALLAS, May 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. , a premier provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a one-year contract renewal with the City of Detroit, Michigan, for parking ticket processing and collections. The total contract renewal is worth $3.7 million.

Ruffin, Director of Municipal Parking Department, City of Detroit. "ACS has extensive experience in parking management operations and in the use and application of appropriate technology, all of which will help the City of Detroit improve service to our customers."
Under terms of the renewal, ACS will provide technology upgrades including two AUTOVU license plate character recognition systems, which will make scofflaw identification easier and increase the number of vehicles immobilized daily. Under a contract amendment, ACS will also begin processing Department of Administration Hearings environmental, and building and safety violations. This additional scope of work will earn ACS $665,000 per year in revenue.
