Accenture Announces Key Leadership Appointments

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) today announced a number ofappointments to its executive leadership team, effective Sept. 1,including new group chief executives for its Business Consulting andOutsourcing growth platforms and four of its five operating groups.

"As we begin our new fiscal year on Sept. 1, these appointmentswill help power Accenture's growth and build on the success we'veachieved over the past several years," said William D. Green,Accenture's chief executive officer. "When you combine the expertiseand fresh perspective that the newest members of our executiveleadership bring to the table with the deep experience of our currentleadership team, Accenture is poised for even greater success in theyears ahead."

New leaders for two of the company's three growth platforms,through which Accenture develops its knowledge capital; buildsworld-class skills and capabilities; and creates, acquires and manageskey assets central to the development of solutions for clients, are:

-- Kevin M. Campbell: Group Chief Executive-Outsourcing

In his new role, Mr. Campbell, 46, has ultimate responsibility forthe development and delivery of Accenture's application outsourcing,infrastructure outsourcing and business process outsourcing servicesand solutions. He most recently served as Senior ManagingDirector-Business Process Outsourcing, responsible for developing newareas of opportunity for Accenture's BPO capabilities; he also hadoperational and client management responsibility for BPO. Mr. Campbellrejoined Accenture in 2005 from Hewitt Associates, where he was marketstrategy and development leader of Hewitt's HR outsourcing business.Mr. Campbell was previously with Accenture from 1982 until 1999. Hesucceeds Joellin Comerford, who will work closely with Mr. Campbellthrough the transition process. Additionally, Ms. Comerford will takeon strategic assignments in the execution of Accenture's strategicgrowth agenda as well as work directly on Accenture's largest and mostcomplex assignments.

-- Mark Foster: Group Chief Executive-Business Consulting & Integrated Markets

Mr. Foster, 46, has overall responsibility for the development ofAccenture's business consulting capabilities, overseeing the company'sCustomer Relationship Management, Finance & Performance Management,Human Performance, Strategy and Supply Chain Management service lines.Additionally, he will have oversight of all Accenture industryprograms as well as its High Performance Business Integrationinitiative, through which Accenture provides clients a unique blend ofbusiness capabilities across its three growth platforms - BusinessConsulting, Systems Integration and Technology, and Outsourcing. Mr.Foster most recently served as Group Chief Executive-Products, aposition he held since 2002. Prior to that time he held otherleadership roles in the Products operating group, including managingpartner of the Products-Europe operating unit; global managing partnerfor the Automotive, Industrial and Travel & Transportation industrygroups; and head of the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products practice inEurope. Mr. Foster joined Accenture in 1983 and became a partner in1994. He succeeds R. Timothy Breene, who previously led the BusinessConsulting growth platform and will continue to lead the company'sGrowth & Strategy and Corporate Development functions.

The new leaders of four of the company's five operating groups,which comprise 17 industry groups serving clients in more than 30industries, are:

-- Gianfranco Casati: Group Chief Executive-Products

Mr. Casati, 46, has been appointed group chief executive of theProducts operating group, which serves clients in the airline,automotive, consumer goods and services, freight and logistics, health& life sciences, industrial equipment, rail, retail and travelservices industries. He most recently served as managing director ofthe Products operating group's Europe operating unit and, at the sametime, as Accenture's country managing director for Italy and chairmanof Accenture's geographic council in the IGEM (Italy, Greece, emergingmarkets) region, with supervisory responsibility for 10 countries. Mr.Casati joined Accenture in 1984 and became a partner in 1994. Hesucceeds Mark Foster, who has been appointed Group ChiefExecutive-Business Consulting & Integrated Markets.

-- Martin I. Cole: Group Chief Executive-Communications & High Tech

Mr. Cole, 50, has been appointed group chief executive of theCommunications & High Tech operating group, which serves clients inthe communications, electronics, high technology, media andentertainment industries. He previously served as Group ChiefExecutive-Government, a position he held since September 2004. Priorto that he was managing partner of the company's Outsourcing &Infrastructure Delivery group, where he led the development andoversaw the execution of Accenture's transformational outsourcingstrategy. Mr. Cole joined Accenture in 1980 and became a partner in1989. He succeeds Diego Visconti, who has been named to the positionof International Chairman of Accenture.

-- Lisa M. Mascolo: Group Chief Executive-Government

Ms. Mascolo, 46, has been appointed group chief executive of theGovernment operating group, with overall responsibility forAccenture's services to governments and other public-sector entitiesin the defense, education, public health, human services, immigration,justice and public safety, revenue and postal sectors. She previouslyserved as managing director of Accenture's US Government operatingunit, where she led the company's Federal and State & Local business,with more than 4,000 professionals, $1.5 billion in revenue and 100client organizations. Ms. Mascolo also served as managing partner ofAccenture's US Federal Government business and as managing partner ofAccenture's US Government outsourcing work with federal, state andlocal governments. Ms. Mascolo joined Accenture in 1982 and became apartner in 1996. She succeeds Martin I. Cole, who has been appointedGroup Chief Executive-Communications & High Tech.

-- Sander van 't Noordende: Group Chief Executive-Resources

Mr. van 't Noordende, 43, has been appointed group chief executiveof the Resources operating group, which serves clients in theutilities, chemicals, energy (oil and gas), forest products and metalsand mining industries. He previously led the Resources operating groupin Southern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, as wellas in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Mr. van 't Noordende joinedAccenture in 1987 and was promoted to partner in 1999. He succeedsDavid Thomlinson, who has been appointed managing director ofAccenture's UK/I geographic unit, responsible for the company'sbusiness in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In addition, R. Timothy Breene will continue to lead the company'sGrowth & Strategy and Corporate Development functions, continuing onAccenture's executive leadership team under the new title of ChiefStrategy & Corporate Development Officer. Mr. Breene, 57, mostrecently served in the dual capacity of Strategy & CorporateDevelopment Officer and Group Chief Executive--Business Consulting. Hepreviously served Accenture as Managing Partner--Global Service Linesand Managing Partner--Strategic Services. Mr. Breene joined Accenturein 1995.

Earlier this week, the company announced that Pamela J. Craig,senior vice president-Finance, will become chief financial officer,effective Oct. 31, 2006. She will succeed Michael G. McGrath, who willremain chief financial officer until Oct. 31, 2006 when he will assumethe role of International Chairman.

As International Chairmen, Mr. McGrath and Mr. Visconti will takeon newly defined and expanded roles with Accenture in which they willrepresent the company at the highest level to clients, governments andthe public across the globe. As part of the company's executiveleadership team, they will work closely with CEO William Green and thecompany's leaders on an agenda that includes direct enhancement ofshareholder value and providing the highest levels of quality andsatisfaction for Accenture clients.
