AB InBev Q4 Profit Down; Normalized Profit Up - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Belgian brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, or AB InBev (BUD, AHBIF.PK) Thursday posted lower profit for the fourth quarter, with a decline in revenues. However, organic revenues grew 7.5 percent, with revenue per hl growth of 7.7 percent in the quarter.
For the quarter, the Group reported that profit attributable to equity holders of the company slid to $2.287 billion from $2.527 billion, and basic earnings per share declined to $1.40 from $1.54 last year.
However, normalized profit attributable to equity holders of AB InBev rose slightly to $2.561 billion from $2.520 billion, and basic normalized earnings per share edged up to $1.56 from $1.54 last year.
In the fourth quarter, EBITDA grew by 6.6 percent to $4.313 billion.
Revenue for the quarter slid to $10.723 billion from $12.018 billion a year ago. On a constant geographic basis, revenue per hl grew by 8.6 percent, driven by strong premium brand volumes.
In addition, AB InBev said its Board proposes a final dividend of 2.00 euros per share, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM on 27 April 2016.
