Aarsleff to construct new headquarters for Danske Bank

Per Aarsleff A/S has entered into a contract with Danica Pension for the construction of Danske Bank's new headquarters at the old post office property at Bernstorffsgade in Copenhagen.

The work has a total building area of approx. 113,000 square metres: Danske Bank's headquarters will occupy 73,000 square metres, and 40,000 square metres will be used for parking facilities and technical installations.

The contract is carried out as a design and build contract, and the Aarsleff Group company Wicotec Kirkebjerg A/S will carry out the technical installations. Danica Pension is the client of the project, COWI is consulting engineer, and Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitekter is consulting architect.

The construction activities will begin on 1 June 2019 with completion expected in 2023.

The contract has a value of approx. DKK 3 billion and is a continuation of the ongoing contracts for demolition and construction pit.

The contract does not affect Aarsleff's earnings expectations for the financial year 2017/18.
