Wabash National Announces Key Management Promotions

LAFAYETTE, Ind., March 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wabash National Corporation today announced that its board of directors has recently approved promotions of three senior management personnel.

Dick Giromini has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Giromini, formerly Wabash National's Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, joined the company in July of 2002 as part of the senior management team charged with turning around company operations.

Prior to Wabash National, Giromini was employed by Accuride Corporation from 1998 to 2002, where he served in a number of capacities including Senior Vice President - Technology and Continuous Improvement; Senior Vice President and General Manager - Light Vehicle Operations; and President and Chief Executive Officer of AKW, L.P. From 1996-1998, Giromini served as Director of Manufacturing for ITT Automotive, Inc.

Jerry Linzey has been appointed Senior Vice President of Manufacturing. Linzey, formerly Wabash National's Vice President of Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, joined the organization in June of 2002.

Prior to joining Wabash National, Linzey served as Director, North American Operations for Stanley Fastening Systems. From 1985-2000, he was employed by Delphi Automotive Systems, holding roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of manufacturing, engineering, and quality.

Fritz Schutte has been promoted to Corporate Treasurer. Schutte has served as Assistant Treasurer since joining Wabash National in June of 2002. Fritz's prior experience includes five years with Central States Enterprises, where he served as Assistant Treasurer, and nine years in commercial lending.
