Twitter To Introduce New Measures To Crack Down On Harassment

(RTTNews) - Twitter Inc. (TWTR) will introduce this week new measures to crack down on harassment, the company's vice president of engineering, Ed Ho, said in a series of tweets.

The social network has long been criticized for not doing enough to protect its users from abuse and harassment.

"We heard you," Ho tweeted Monday. "We didn't move fast enough last year . . . Making Twitter a safer place is our primary focus and we are now moving with more urgency than ever."

Ho tweeted,"This week, we'll tackle long overdue fixes to mute/block and stopping repeat offenders from creating new accounts."
