Select Medical Holdings Names David Chernow CEO

(RTTNews) - Select Medical Holdings Corporation (SEM), an operator of specialty hospitals and outpatient rehabilitation clinics, Monday announced the appointment of David Chernow as its chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2014. Chernow has served as the company's President since September 2010. Further, Robert Ortenzio, who has served as the company's chief executive officer since 2005, has been named as Executive Chairman and Co-Founder, with effect from same date.

The company also named Rocco Ortenzio, who has served as the Executive Chairman since 2005, as Vice Chairman and Co-Founder, effective January 1.
