PTC Implements Windchill PLM Solution at Hyundai Kia Motors; Project Targets Innovation of Product Development Process and Creates Global Collaborative Development Environment

    NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 2005--PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the product development company(TM), today announced that it has completed the implementation of its Windchill solution for data management and collaboration within Power Train Division product development at Hyundai Kia Motors, Korea's largest automaker.
    Windchill enables Hyundai Kia Motors to enhance its productivity significantly, raising the company's competitiveness in the global market. The solution will also help Hyundai Kia Motors maximize its research and development productivity process, strengthen its collaborative product development capabilities and reduce its manufacturing and development costs as well as overall product development time. This project to deploy more than 1000 seats of Windchill(R) builds upon an existing implementation of PTC Pro/ENGINEER(R). The project was implemented by PTC Global Services and its services partners.
